Faculty Recruitment in North Easter Hill University(NEHU)

Applications in the prescribed form are hereby invited from Indian nationals for filling up of following non-teaching Group ‘A’ posts at the NEHU, Shillong/ Tura Campus.

Shillong Campus:
Registrar: 01 Post
Qualification:

• Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade of ‘B’ in the UGC seven point scale.
• At least 15 years’ of experience as Lecturer in a University or PG College of which eight years shall be in Reader’s grade along with experience in educational administration. OR
• Comparable experience in establishments and other Institutions of higher education,OR
• 15 years’ of administrative experience of which 8 years as Deputy Registrar or an equivalent post. (The minimum requirement of 55% marks at (a) above shall be 50% for SC/ST candidates or candidates already in the University system.)

Finance Officer: 01 Post
Qualification:

• Member of any of the Organized Central Accounts Services in the same scale of pay or with 5 years’ service in the next below grade OR
• A Chartered Accountant having minimum experience of 10 years as Chartered Accountant

University Engineer: 01 Post
Qualification:
Degree in Civil Engineering with eight years of experience as Superintendent Engineer or 12 to 15 years experience as Executive Engineer in PWD or State PWD or Public Sector Autonomous undertaking (PSU)/Autonomous Bodies / Equivalent position in Private Sectors.

Deputy Registrar: 02 Posts
Qualification:

• Master Degree with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade ‘B’ in the UGC Seven Point Scale subject to at least 50% marks in the case of SC/ST candidates.
• Five years’ of experience as Lecturer in a University or College with experience in educational administration. OR
• Comparable experience in research establishment and / or other Institutions of Higher education. OR
• 5(five) years of administrative experience as Assistant Registrar or an equivalent post.
• Provided that fulfillment of the requirement of 55% marks or its equivalent grade ’B’ in the UGC Seven Point Scale may be relaxed by the University for departmental candidates subject to the minimum of 50% marks. Provided further that preference will be given to candidates having experience of working in an educational / University system with special emphasis for those working in Central Universities.

Executive Engineer: 01 Post
Qualification:
B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc. Engineering in Civil Engineering from a recognized University / Institution or Section “A & B’ Examinations (AMIE) of the Institute of Engineers (India) with an experience of at least 10 to 15 years as Asstt. Engineer or as S.D.O. CPWD or state PWD or Public Sector Autonomous undertaking and 5 years as Executive Engineer in CPWD or State PWD. Preference will be given to candidates having sufficient experience in the line for more than 5 years as Executive Engineer having administrative capacity.

Assistant Librarian: 01 Post
Qualification:

• Qualifying in the National level test conducted for the purpose by the UGC or any agency approved by the UGC.
• Masters’ Degree in Library Science/Information Science / Documentation or an equivalent professional degree with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade of B in the UGC seven point scale.

Medical Officer: 01 Post
Qualification:
MBBS Degree of a recognized University with at least 3 years experience in general practices. Desirable M.D. in any branch.

Assistant Editor: 01 Post
Qualification:

• Master’s Degree in English with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade ‘B’ in the UGC Seven Point Scale.
• A relaxation of 5% marks at the Master’s Degree level shall be applicable to candidates belonging to SC/ST/PH category including departmental candidates.
• 3(three) years experience of editing / copy editing manuscript in a reputed publishing house or a Govt. Organization

Information Scientist: 01 Post
Qualification:

• Master Degree in Computer Applications (MCA) OR
• B.E. (Computer) with 3(three) years experience in computing

Tura Campus:
Assistant Librarian: 01 Post
Qualification:

• Qualifying in the National level test conducted for the purpose by the UGC or any agency approved by the UGC.
• Masters’ Degree in Library Science/Information Science / Documentation or an equivalent professional degree with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade of B in the UGC seven point scale.
