The National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER) has been setup by the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) of the Government of India. NISER invites applications invites applications for one post of Assistant Professor in each discipline of English, Economics, Philosophy, Psychology, and Sociology under Humanities Department from extremely motivated Indians and also invites applications for some non-academic posts:
Assistant Professor
Departments:
- English

Qualification: A Ph.D. degree in the relevant discipline from a reputed/recognized university or institute along with first class or minimum 60% of marks in Graduation and Post Graduation. Three years of postdoctoral/teaching experience preferably in a reputed university or institute with a minimum number of 3 high quality publications in refereed international journals or 5 high quality publications in national level refereed journals.
Pay Scale: Rs.15600 – 39100 Grade Pay Rs.7600.
Non-Academic posts:
Scientific Officer E: 01 post
Qualification:
- Ph D degree with minimum 60% marks in post graduation and graduation or equivalent grade in Chemistry.
- Minimum of 4 years experience in teaching / research / lab infrastructure development after PhD in an educational institution of national repute
Pay Scale: Rs.15600-39100 grade pay Rs.7600
Laboratory Operator: 07 posts
Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Science with Physics/Chemistry/Biology with at least 45% marks.
- Work experience of assisting faculties/researchers/students in a Chemistry / Physics / Biology laboratory in an educational institution of national repute.
Pay Scale: Rs.5200-20200 grade pay Rs. 2000
Driver: 02 posts
Qualification:
- 10th Standard pass from a recognized school.
- Possession of a valid (LMV/HMV) Driving License.
- Knowledge of motor mechanism (the candidate should be able to remove minordefects in vehicle).
- Experience of driving a motor vehicle/car for at least 3 years
Pay Scale: Rs.5200-20200 grade pay Rs. 1900
